We seek to be a Witnessing Community:
To be called to this church is to be called to mission. This means we are an intergenerational community engaged in mission to our neighbors, near and far. In the next 3-5 years, we commit ourselves:
To grow in our personal and congregational abilities and effort to share with our neighbors the hope that is found in Jesus Christ, with special focus on our most immediate and prominent neighbors---those at the University of California, Berkeley, and in the City of Berkeley;
To deliberately embody the mercy that is found in Jesus Christ, especially among the needy in Berkeley, including the current, acute, and underserved needs of its children and youth; and
To move deeper into international partnerships that are few, intensive, and sustained.
